ELECTRICITY ACT 1989
THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2000
SCOPING OPINION REQUEST FOR PROPOSED SECTION 37 APPLICATION FOR THE 275kV OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION LINE FROM KNOCKNAGAEL TO TOMATIN

Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission (SHE Transmission) has formally requested, in accordance with regulation 7 of the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2000 (“the Regulations”) a scoping opinion for the proposed new 275kV overhead transmission line from Knocknagael to Tomatin, in the planning authority area of The Highland Council. (See details on their website)

Under regulation 7, Scottish Ministers are required to consult the specified statutory bodies (and other interested parties) for their views on the information which ought to be provided in the environmental statement.

As the Regulations allow three weeks for this consultation I would be grateful for your comments by Wednesday 10 June 2015, responses should be sent to econsentsadmin@scotland.gsi.gov.uk
I would be grateful if you could provide your response in the preferred format – with site specific comments or observations highlighted at the beginning of the response, and any general advice to follow in subsequent paragraphs.
