Community Woods Update
IT HAS BEEN NECESSARY TO CLOSE BOTH OUR WOODS DUE TO THE SEVERE STORMS OVER THE CHRISTMAS BREAK.
The damage is beyond the capability of our volunteer work force so we have employed a specialist contractor with the necessary skill to remove the fallen and partially fallen trees. The good news is that at present we are concentrating on School Wood. The bad news is that we do not expect to be able to open School Wood until the end of March. The news for Milton Wood is better in that this could be opened by the end of April.
Much to our relief we have been able to sell the timber so that their will be little if any damage to our bank balance. The revenue from the sale is likely to cover the cost of the specialist contractor.
