13 November 2019Strathnairn Community Benefit Fund Launches Education Grant
Strathnairn Community Benefit Fund has launched a new grant to help children and young people with costs related to education, such as books, equipment, travel and educational trips.
A single grant of £300 per academic year (September 2019 to August 2020) is available to support education costs, not funded by statutory provision, incurred by children and young people aged 21 and under who are permanent residents of the Strathnairn Community Council area.
The grant is available to all children and young people in secondary education, further education, higher education and those undertaking apprenticeships.
Strathnairn Community Benefit Fund make awards direct to the Parent Councils of Farr and Daviot Primary Schools to assist with non-statutory education costs. Therefore, in order to ensure all primary pupils in Strathnairn can benefit, primary pupils not attending Farr or Daviot schools are also eligible to apply direct to the Fund for an Education Grant.
