B851 Roadworks update

Please find below this week’s look ahead for the road improvements currently being undertaken along the B851.

There will be some limited works as highlighted by the community ongoing along the road this week primarily at the Dunmaglass Mains entrance, and near Croachy village.  In terms of traffic management, we envisage that ‘Stop/Go’ boards will be used at the Dunmaglass site entrance where a ditch is being filled in anticipation of icy roads in winter.

Other outstanding works include the erection of community notice boards on behalf of Strathnairn Community Council and the restoration of the Littlemill compound following the removal of the site cabins used by the team for the past six months. It is anticipated that complete reinstatement will be completed during the week commencing 12 August 2013.

SSE Renewables who bought Dunmaglass Wind Farm in May will shortly begin the enabling works for the site and will contact residents in due course with updates on what to expect.

If you have any questions about the remainder of the road improvement works, please contact us at dunmaglass@res-ltd.com or on 0800 011 3618.

If you have any questions regarding the imminent enabling works for the wind farm, please contact Marianne Townsley via e-mail (marianne.townsley@sse.com) or via telephone on 01463 728069.
