The applicant has asked for a review of the Highland Council process in their decision to turn down their application. This is basically their appeal as due to the relative small scale (2 turbines) of the development Highland Council is the decision maker. You can read their statement here. The new reference number is 15/00059/RBREF. Whilst each application should be handled on its own merits the fear is that these could form part of a ring of turbines from Moy to Carr Ban and on to the rest of Strathnairn, enveloping Loch Ness in windfarms.
We understand that no additional information can be introduced at this stage but you may wish to resubmit your comments about the application. Your comments should support the reasons that HC gave for refusing the application. The reasons for their decision are outlined in this document
If you have commented on to the application you will be informed of the time and date of the hearing. You can attend but you cannot speak. 3-9 councillors will attend who don’t represent our area - see FAQ document.
